To Create an infographic you must follow certain methodology to have all in order, for example the first thing that you need is a topic.
You need to know the topic you want to talk about or share with your audience.
In this case we have a title: “Social Media Facts 2015″.
We recommend to add a subtitle for the infographic, something catchy or something that gives us a better idea of the topic we are talking about, For example: “Everything you need to know for incorporating social media into your business”.
After that, we need a complete summary of our topic. In this case we are going to talk about 5 social media resources: facebook, linkedin, pinterest, google plus and instagram. Each one will have its own precise information with numbers, dates or keyword that you consider important to share with the public.
For example, we are talking about the visitors, type of site, rank and the year each resource was founded:
·900,000,000 Estimated unique monthly visitors.
·Type of site : Social networking service.
·2 Alexa rank (August 1, 2015).
·255,000,000 Estimated unique monthly visitors.
·Type of site : Social network service.
·9 Alexa rank (August 1, 2015).
·250,000,000 Estimated unique monthly visitors.
·Type of site : Visual discovery, collection, and storage.
·26 Alexa rank (August 1, 2015).
·120,000,000 Estimated unique monthly visitors.
·Type of site : Social networking service, identity service.
·NA Alexa rank (August 1, 2015).
100,000,000 Estimated unique monthly visitors.
·Type of site : Photo and video.
·36 Alexa rank (August 1, 2015).
After this step comes the creative part, it is to say that the creation of our design is the infographic. Here anything goes. Be inspired by what you like best without forgetting to take information from your summary, you'll probably find the key there. In this case, we choose a “world” because the social media resources are now global, right? It is very simple and clean, it allows us to read the info properly.
Finally, we need to talk about our sources because we have to give the credit to the person or websites that shared the info with us.
